Adult Chaperones
set out for the 2011 National Catholic Youth Conference
“I left Westchester last Thursday morning for NCYC thinking I was going to be a doctor or trainer or physical therapist, but I returned to Westchester on Sunday knowing that I am being called to share and proclaim our faith with everyone I encounter. Whether that be a teacher or speaker or youth minister, I don’t know, but I do know that Jesus Christ, our Savior, will be with me every step of the way!”-Holly
“Imagine 23,000 teenagers gathered in a football stadium, not to cheer for their team, but to celebrate their faith and worship God! Each day, from beginning to end, flew by. NCYC opened my eyes to our faith and different ways we can share it with others and connect with Jesus.”-Jackie
“NCYC was an amazing experience for me because I never thought that you could get 25,000 teens in one place excited about praising God! The keynotes were especially amazing because they talked about being what your made to be, which is very inspirational!”-Anthony
“It’s not bad to share yourself and your beliefs with others around you, because this allows us to live up to our potential as God wants us to. Yes, this may cause us to look different and stand out, but in the end it’s what will get others attention. Standing out and leading the way can be scary, but I learned we cannot run from our fears because in the end, God will always out run us. There was also a massive cross...On that cross, I stuck the word lead, which is exactly what I intend on doing”- Ashley
“It brought me closer to my faith. Everything I learned
there I will practice in my everyday life! It was a very good and fun experience!”-William
In Indianapolis, for what became a true “Life Altering” experience, with 23, 000 teenagers celebrating their love of Jesus, our Lord. Here in their own words is what the 3 days meant to them....
